Formulate Questions

The following four attributes belong to the Formulate Questions stage.

2. Related to learning goal
3. To explore a world issue
4. Reflects one or more of the concepts of geographic thinking


Interpret and Analyze

The following five attributes belong to the Interpret and Analyze stage.

1. Identify and interpret key points
2. Analyse data, information, evidence
3. Use graphic organizers
4. Analyse by applying concepts of geographic thinking
5. Construct maps, graphs, charts to help analysis


Gather and Organize

The following seven attributes belong to the Gather and Organize stage.

1. Identify purpose of each source (bias)
2. Gather information from different types of sources
(graphs, maps, text, video, documentary etc.)
3. Relevant, credible, accurate and reliable sources
4. Qualitative and quantitative data
5. Primary, secondary sources and fieldwork
6. Graphic organizers (Cornell notes)
7. Data is current


Communicate

The following five attributes belong to the Communicate stage.

1. Communicate decision
2. Communicate conclusion
3. Communicate prediction
4. Communicate judgement
5. Communicate plan of action


Evaluate and Draw Conclusions

The following five attributes belong to the Evaluate and Draw Conclusions stage.

1. Make informed judgement
2. Synthesize data
3. Determine short and long term consequences
4. Determine any ethical implications of decision
5. Where appropriate, determine any action that is required
