Term: Definition

Role expectation: status and power within a group. An expectation from the group members for an individual to behave in a certain way.

Group Size:  factor affecting conformity.  If the group size is up to four people the likelihood to conform increases, past four people the likelihood does not increase.

Milgram: studied obedience through an experiment where the participant was instructed to inflict pain on who they thought was another participant.

Deindividuation: factor affecting conformity. Loss of individuality, usually occurs in a group situation.
