Giraffe Proportions Investigation

For this investigation, you will need The Geometer's Sketchpad (GSP) software, installed on your computer. |

- Open Giraffe Proportions.gsp sketch. Approximately what percent of the height of the giraffe is the length of its head and neck? Use a Stretchy Percent Ruler.
- Open sample answers 1 and 2. Use the tabs at the bottom left of the screen to compare Giraffe answer 1 and Giraffe answer 2. Answer the questions found there.
- Create a table similar to the one below.

- Open Working with Giraffe gsp sketch. Use the percent rulers to determine different lengths of the giraffe's body. Record the lengths in your table.
- When you are finished your investigation, check your answers.
