This is an image entitled VISIBLE AND INVISIBLE LIGHT. It shows invisible light on the left side of the spectrum as tight waves on a purple background. It is labelled from left to right as X-RAYS and Ultraviolet Rays. In the centre labelled in red is the VISIBLE SPECTRUM. The image is expanded below showing the visible spectrum divided from left to right into the colours purple, blue, green, yellow, orange and red, ranging from 350 to 800 nanometres (nm) in wavelength. On the right of the visible spectrum with a red background is more invisible light labelled Infrared and RADIO WAVES, with the waves getting longer toward the right of the image. The invisible light includes X-rays, Ultraviolet, Infrared and Radio Waves. The visible light is the visible spectrum (white light).
