In Ontario, thousands of programs can be searched using the Ontario Colleges website. You may have already completed a similar search in your Career Studies class.

When you are searching the Ontario Colleges website, follow these steps:
  1. Use the Search tool to enter the title of the career. This will give you a list of all the colleges in Ontario offering the program you have selected.
  2. Some programs are offered at many different colleges, so take a look at a few different schools which appeal to you. 
  3. Select the college to which you are most interested in applying. Check out its website. 
  4. If there are different lengths of time required to complete a program, investigate the one which best suits you.
 

Select the career you found most interesting from the interactive to research in more detail.

You may also be interested in a career related to this science course that was not included in the interactive. If you do wish to choose an alternative, please seek approval from your teacher first.  

Now, answer the following questions:

  1. What are the requirements for admission to the program? These will include course prerequisites, average grades and so on. On most sites, you will find this information listed under Admissions.
  2. How long is the program?
  3. How much does the program cost? On most sites, this information will be under Tuition and Fees.
  4. What careers would be available to you after graduation from this program?
  5. Why did you select the career you did?
  6. What did you find interesting about it? 
  7. What was the most challenging piece of information to find?
  8. What made it challenging?
